By using The Unit File you agree to these terms. This is a draft for a private v1. It is not a substitute for a lawyer-reviewed agreement.

The site hosts user-submitted ratings and comments about apartment communities in the Indianapolis area. We do not verify that a reviewer lived there. Treat everything as one person’s report.

You keep your words. You give The Unit File a non-exclusive license to show them on the site, moderate them, and keep a copy for integrity (for example, if someone tries to flood a page). You promise your review is yours, is based on real experience, and does not break the law or the guidelines.

The Unit File is not a consumer reporting agency, not a housing counselor, and not a party to any lease. No warranty that the site is complete, accurate, or always up. We can change, hide, or take down content, and we can limit access, especially while this is a v1.

Landlords cannot pay to bury ratings. If we refuse a paid takedown, that is how the product works, not a bug.

This is a draft, Indianapolis-focused v1. A later public version will name governing law. We will publish a real contact email before launch.
